[8pp.]/pp.XVI/pp.218/[2pp.] (the first and last leaves are blank). Old leather boards, edges carefully strengthend. Carefully rebacked in brown calf at some time in the past. Spine with 6 raised bands and old leather title label: "P. R. I.Seldon". Old marbled endpapers. Reference number to front endpaper: "No.5. F.6"; and pencil note: "Dr. Vincent's Sale 6/6". Title in red and black. "Ioannis Seldeni Ad Eadmervm & Notae & Spicilegium"--pages 142-218. Error in pagination : p. 59-61 misnumbered 49-51. Clean text throughout with historated initials and one half-page engraving of the Great Seal (p.166). Light staining to gutter of first 5 leaves, encroaching 2.5" from the lower page edge. Also: A few neat marginalia and underlinings in a contemporary hand.
